As Senior Vice President of Business Development, Brion leads the VMS Business Development team, which is responsible for promoting the company's comprehensive suite of Clinical Educator solutions to the biopharma marketplace.
Brion brings extensive experience in commercial strategy, product launch marketing, strategic business development, operations, sales and strategic alliances. He has been in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 25 years and has held numerous leadership roles at Parke-Davis, a division of Warner Lambert, Pharmacia and MedPointe (now Meda). He spent the first portion of his career at Parke Davis working in sales and marketing and was a member of the marketing team responsible for launching Rezulin, one of the first new novel diabetes medications.
Prior to joining VMS, Brion held senior business development leadership roles at Quintiles (now IQVIA) and Publicis Health. While working at both companies, he led their respective BD teams to significant increases in revenue and was responsible for implementing new, strategic targeting approaches that maximized awareness and overall opportunity pipelines. Brion was also one of the founding partners for a start-up contract sales organization, Spectra BioPharma Selling Solutions. While working at all three commercial outsource providers, he was instrumental in growing and selling the Clinical Educator platform.
Brion's experience, knowledge and expertise in a wide range of pharmaceutical and commercial outsourcing companies position him as the ideal leader to provide strategic direction to the VMS Business Development team as well as delivering innovative and customized Clinical Educator programs.
Brion earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut, majoring in technical marketing. In 2016, he was named one of the “100 of the Most Inspiring People” by PharmaVOICE magazine. Brion was also one of the founding members of “Pink Tie Guys” for the Susan G. Komen North Jersey chapter.
